| 2008-05-02 11:47:30 We had an outage in our US farm to two of our major providers for approximately 30 mins. Our service was still accessible, but you may have experienced slow speeds. The problem has now been resolved and all links are functional again. |
| 2008-04-23 23:41:33 We are now beta testing SSL connections to our servers. It can be reached via secure.news.astraweb.com on ports 563 (default) or 443. Here are a few things to keep in mind: - This is currently a US only SSL test farm, so even though you can connect to it from any location, keep in mind that connecting from EU will be slow going. - It is beta. Things are bound to break. If you don't like things breaking, stick with the non SSL servers. - It is a small test on a small set of frontends, so it may get overloaded if it gets popular. - If you break it, let us know (via our helpdesk) so we can fix it. |
| 2008-04-10 00:33:08 Apologies for the late notice. We have had an outage that is causing completion problems. We are currently recovering data and expect to have things back to normal within 48 hours. This outage is also having an impact on performance, and some users will notice that their speeds are slower than normal. Speeds should progressively return to normal once recovery is complete.
