is the difference between the "Unlimited" and "Unlimited DSL"
plans? |
The only difference between the plans is speed. All other features
such as retention, anonimity, number of groups is exactly the
same.
The "Unlimited" plan is catered towards modem and ISDN users.
It is capable of achieving speeds of up to 1 Mbit/s (18 times
the speed of a 56k modem!).
The "Unlimited DSL" plan is catered towards high bandwidth users
such as DSL or cable modem users. It is capable of achieving
much higher speeds to maximize the bandwidth available to these
users. The "Unlimited DSL" plan has no speed caps.
Both plans allow a maximum of twenty (20) simultaneous connections
at any one time to allow fair usage. Typical news readers only
require a maximum of two simultaneous connections at any one
time.
The download speed on our unlimited plans are spread over the number of available connections.

What is the Unlimited DSL 3 Month plan? |
The Unlimited DSL 3 month plan gives you even more value for money. It costs $39 for 3 months access at
the Unlimited DSL level. That works out to be $13 per month only! You are rebilled every 3 months and
must utilize all 3 months worth of access. If you cancel before your 3 months is up, your account will
remain active until the end of the 3 month period. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused portions
of your account.

am a DSL or cable modem user, can I still purchase the "unlimited"
plan? |
Yes you can. However, you will achieve slower transfer
rates than what your connection is capable of and downloads
will take longer to complete.

am a modem user, if I purchase the "unlimited DSL" account,
will my downloads be faster? |
No. Your modem is only capable of 56kbit/s, the bottleneck
would be your modem connection. The unlimited plan is capable
of achieving speeds of up to 1 Mbit/s, 18 times the speed of
a 56k modem.

do the unlimited plans include? |
The unlimited plans include:
No limit on the number of bytes downloaded, so no need
to keep track of usage
No limit on the number of articles read or posted. Posting
is subject to our AUP (we are very strict on spam)
24 hour access to our server
Maximum 20 connections at any one time (most news reading
software, MS Outlook, Agent, FreeAgent, Tin, only need 2).
